I was nominated for the ‘Three Day Lyrical Challenge’ by Happymess Happiness and today is day number two. I enjoy all genres of music and it’s hard to say which would be my favorite. So, in this challenge I also wanted to include a Spanish song because, well, I do speak Spanish and enjoy anything from Romeo to Juan Luis Guerra, DLG, Grupo Niche, Son By Four, Eddy Herrera, Luis Enrique, Rey Ruiz, Giro López, Hansel y Raul, Gilberto Santa Rosa, Basilos, Monchy y Alexandra, to name a few. Do you know any of these, was it nice to have gone back to the good ‘ole ‘old school’ songs, you know?! They’re my favorite!
The Rules Are Simple:
- Thank the person who nominated you.
- Share one of your favorite song/lyrics one at a time for three days.
- Nominate three other bloggers each day.
The Song/Lyrics I Want To Share With You Today Is:
This song is so loving, it speaks about how love can make you feel, so unpredictable and yet also get you so tangled, so confused and trapped even when you want to get away – and can’t. It’s a kind of love that can be compared to a toxic that gives you such an effect that’s hard to let go but even then, it’s what you want and you wouldn’t have it any other way. Have you been there, have you felt this kind of love? I think it’s worth having felt this love – at least once in your lifetime. Enjoy.
Chichi Peralta – ‘Amor Narcótico’ (Spanish Lyrics)
Tu amor es algo tímido, reñido
Es algo típico
“Nada especial”
Eso dirían los demás
Es una lanza que traspasa
La tranquilidad es algo loco
Nada más
Tan sensible que se irrita
Cuando gritas cuando quieres respirar
“Nada especial”
Eso dirían los demás
Que amarra
Cuando quieres libertad
Te quiero así, cuando vives
Cuando matas con o sin razón
Cuando callas cuando hablas
Cuando alargas en el acto
Toda mi pasión
Con fascinación
No pretendo alejarme no quiero
Yo no puedo porque te quiero así
Así, así
Tan lúcido, romántico
Y algo brutal
Es una mezcla singular
Te calienta, te congela
Desorden total es algo loco nada más
Cuando gritas cuando quieres respirar
Es un efecto narcótico
Cuando quieres libertad
Tan satírica y fanática
Cuando callas cuando hablas
Cuando amas
Cuando alargas en el acto
Toda mi pasión
Cuando logras estrujarme
No pretendo alejarme no quiero
No tengo motivo no tengo razón
No tengo motivo no tengo razón
Pero te quiero tanto, tanto tanto amor
Yo tengo el gusto de quererte
Es que tú sabes que te quiero así
Yo tengo el gusto de quererte
Me calienta, me congela me vive me mata
Así, yo tengo el gusto de quererte
Es que tú sabes que te quiero así

Yes, me too! Love them – the older songs especially. They tell such wonderful stories of love and being loved. Amazing!
I’m originally from Nicaragua, thankfully my mother was determined in me learning and remembering Spanish when we came to the US, she did a great job in doing so. Tough, but she did it! Now I’m trying to that with my kids 😣 They’re in the fence still.

I don’t speak Spanish, but do listen to Latin music. I look up the lyrics, if it’s good, I will add it to my playlist! Nice post!
