If you have never understood why parents are always so tired, groggy and sleepy, perhaps it wasn’t until you became a parent yourself that you understood the reasons why. There are so many things that change when you become a parent. I think it’s a given to know that there is less time for you and more time for the little one. There is less time to get yourself ready, you know those days where you look so put together, yeah, you’ll be lucky to be wearing something decent, you know the beautiful wind blowing curly hair – nope, the makeup days are also reduced to really close to none. And the only thing that’ll be going through your mind will be just wanting to squeeze in 5 more minutes of sleep time. Because who doesn’t appreciate a good 5 more minutes of sleep?!

I think it is a real life lesson to put yourself second. Being a good parent is one way you learn it well.

Yes, I agree. You see the selfless ways parents live their life in order to put their children as a priority. It’s a balance, because you aren’t any less human even after having children. 😊

Just 5 more lovely sleep minutes. Trying to get them feels like the search for the Holy Grail. My former Rock and Roll lifestyle (maybe a slight exaggeration) has certainly become the Caffine and Calpol lifestyle. But I wouldn’t swap it for anything, just a bit more sleep would be nice.

Sleep is a biggie. Or lack t here of as we know. I am convinced I would have dished out $50 for a solid hour of sleep to anyone interested during those days.

This reminds me of the young single guys I work with, listening to their problems lol!! I always respond with, keep living! Grey hair and wrinkles await! Lol!

Lol! Yes, you never think age will sneak up on you, until it does! I’d get a laugh out of that too, the single life problems vs real problems.
