This is more of a ‘Motivational Monday‘ then it is ‘Meme’ but I loved this message so much, I just had to share. I was moved by this because although I was never one to have planned my future at a young age, I didn’t see a chronic illness in my future and my present life. The picture was never clear, I only knew two things, one, that I wanted to get married and two, I wanted to have kids. These two have been such a blessing. However, in 2013 the picture was distorted – for the better. And I say for the better because at times I got very comfortable with life and with this illness, it’s helped me find myself – slowly but surely, realize things I otherwise wouldn’t have been able to and also, be able to live in the moment. It’s helped me see that life is uncertain, things happen, health issues arise, to let go and let God and to accept things I can not change.

I found out this is so true. Sometimes that door closes and you cannot ever open it again. It’s up to you whether you just stand and wait or move on. Hope you are ok.

Yes, I agree. What do you with life changes. It can make all the difference to your future outcome.
Thank you so much.
Oh I’ve been quite busy. My parents had to leave their old place and haven’t had found a new one. So, they’ll be moving in with my family this weekend. We’ve been making room in my home for them all week. It’s not a permanent move, but I do want them to feel as comfortable as possible. Thankfully there’s enough room for us all. 😊🙏🏽

It’s a hard lesson to learn, and harder still to put into practice, yet so important for appreciating life and making the most of it. Thank you for sharing this, it’s a brilliant reminder! xx

Yes, I agree, indeed. Life changes from one moment to the next, often unexpectedly. But having shift in perspective, to seeing the positives, will make all the difference. It’s being patient with the changes and letting go of the control. Hope you’re doing well. 😊🙏🏽

Amen. I agree, always – trust Him, as He leads us in the direction we must go. Not the direction we would want, or wish to go, but the one He chooses for us. It’s the perfect one, He knows what’s best for us. As you mentioned, trust Him. 😊🙏🏽

Love this! I’ve been reading Lysa Terkeurst’s It’s Not Supposed to be This Way, which addresses letting go of the life we expected so that we can fully appreciate the life God is working.

Oh that’s amazing! Love that!
Absolutely, his way is the best way. Once we can see that things really do happen for a reason, we’d see the wonderful works God continues to do in our lives. As the saying goes, when one door closes, another opens. Isn’t that life?! Everything God does in our life has a purpose, a meaning, beyond our comprehension. Accepting it is our issue, accept it. As for me, accepting my illness took time, but once I did, I discovered a great blessing behind such pain. 😊🙏🏽

Yes, finding happiness and joy with what we have in our lives. Often times, we compare our lives to that of others, but we aren’t other, we are but ourselves and must be content with that. Otherwise we will continue on in a road of anger and sadness.
So glad you enjoyed it. 😊🙏🏽

Thanks for sharing that Debbie. Yes, it’s one of those things that life hands your way and we learn to accept it, to live with it.
I tell my husband, I don’t remember life without chronic pain. But perhaps it’s best that way, as I have a whole new life with a whole new perspective.
I’m so glad he’s doing amazing. That’s great!
Hope you’re doing well. ☺️🙏🏽

I’m learning this.. I feel like because I got married fairly late in life that I lost a lot of time with my wife. She tells me to enjoy the times we have now, and I do, but I can’t help but think of all the lost time..

Oh no, yes, you’ve shared these feelings before. But you know, God has his perfect timing for it all. Perhaps even if you all would have met earlier, what if one or the other wouldn’t have been ready for each other?! You know?! There’s no age in marriage, or when things should or shouldn’t happen, Gods timing is just perfect, for each one of us.
I could say, I got married too young, or became a mother far too early. But no, Gods timing is perfect. He knew what I needed and when I needed it.
I agree with her, live in the now, enjoy life today and let’s be grateful you all found each other to be forever partners in life. 🙏🏽
