4 Mask Essentials for The Whole Family

With COVID still in sight, there is without a doubt that my family is choosing to continue to wear masks. So, today I wanted to share my top four mask essentials that we’ve been using and that have also made going back to school easier for the kids.

Let me start off with lanyards – even though my kids are good at not misplacing things, this gives me peace of mind knowing the masks will get back to me. It also helps them not to misplace the masks during their lunch time at school.

No matter what type of fabric you’re wearing, we have been loving these 3D mask brackets that we place under our masks, to keep the mask away from our mouth, making easier to breathe.

When it comes to wearing masks and glasses, nothing can be more uncomfortable than when your glasses begin to fog. So, my two kids that do wear glasses have these cleaning cloths that they use and keep inside their backpacks. The cloths are easy to use, come in a resealable bag and usable for multiple times.

And lastly, I use these containers to store hand sanitizer and hang them on the kids backpacks. The school is great in keeping areas clean and offering hand sanitizing stations, but these always come in handy.

I keep it all – along with the masks, inside this basket by our front door. It’s easy for the children to see and is a reminder to us all of the things we must take with us before heading out the door.

I hope this was all helpful to you. Do you and your family have similar items at home? Is there something else I should add – I’d love to know.

Happy Monday.

      1. Ugh! So sorry to know that! What is it with schools not providing help for parents at home?! Very frustrating. You’re doing great by sticking to the lessons, I’d do that as well. We can just do what we can with the limited resources schools are providing. You’re doing great though!

      2. Thank you x What support do your get? Here the Teaching Assistant will sometime send the class notes and documents used across. Normally with no narrative. No feedback. Often he gets nothing and we just guess what they have covered. Do you get any breaks or are you always full time with the kids.

      3. The kids are now on their Christmas break, it was for two weeks. They return on Monday the 4th. When the had announced the schools reopening, they allowed the parents to choose, if they wanted the kids to stay at home with home learning or to send them to school. I chose to send my kids to school. Of course they must wear a mask at all times, etc.
I was able to get like a ‘mask wearing waiver’ for my son. He doesn’t do well wearing a mask for too long. I had to go through the doctor, school, etc. But I got the waiver approved. So any time he needs a break from wearing the mask at school, he can.
My kids teachers, thankfully have been supportive. Unfortunately my sons grades have dropped since this all started. However, I’m not going to fuss about it. He doesn’t do well with change, and even though now he’s back in school learning, the teacher still has to be online with the kids that opted to remain with at home learning. It’s bizarre! Poor teachers! Personally I think they should have assigned teachers for online learning for those kids still at home learning and teachers for in-school learning.

    1. Yes, completely understand. Same here, unfortunately in Florida, since Christmas Eve there’s have been 24,000 new cases. 😩
Saw something that said something along the lines of, for the first time in history you can help save humanity by laying in front of the tv all day.
Who knows when this will all get better. 😣

      2. Those are great news! God knows what we need. I’m so glad you and your mom are doing better. I’m sure you both will make a full recovery soon. We need much patience with when things like this happen – much love and patience with ourselves even. 🥰💖
