As for myself, I’ve only been blogging for a little over a year, and I must say, authenticity and communication with your followers is key. As the post states, know who you are, know your followers so that you know what they want. Also, when you know who you are, you are relatable and that is something everyone can appreciate.

What are some blogging tricks or tips you can offer to a new blogger? Please share!

Happy Wednesday!

The Beginning …

my motivation was – and continues to be, to raise awareness for my diagnosis and you can read more on that in my first post here titled Chiari Malformation + Syringomyelia. Chiari Malformation or ‘Chiari‘ for short, is a rare condition, a congenital condition, one I never thought I’d have. But God knowing so much more than I can ever, has allowed this to come into my life. Although I don’t know many times the why’s, I’ve learned that it’s sometimes best to stop asking the why’s and start accepting things as they are. The diagnosis – like many, has a way of making one feel little and alone. So, after much thought, I decided to begin a blog in hopes of connecting with other people living with Chiari or other forms of illnesses. It’s been a lot of time spent on the blog, however it’s been rewarding having connected with so many people, some that don’t even have Chiari but still are going through their own personal struggles.

My Advice To New Bloggers …

I would still consider myself a new blogger. I began my blog earlier this year and I can’t say I have any legitimate advice on creating a ‘successful’ blog. I like to think that I should always consider myself a new blogger, as I always want to continue to grow, learn, and contemplate how I can recreate my site as well as myself, to become a better version of who I was yesterday. If you could write anything, write as if you were writing to a dear and beloved friend, be honest, write your own authentic thoughts on topics of your liking. I always try to be honest, who you are is what will connect you with your readers. Also, try to not focus on the numbers, number of followers, number of likes, number of comments, etc. All will come in due time. And make time, make time to read posts, time to comment, time to interact with your readers. This will tell your readers, you’re invested in them as they are in you.

My Nominees …

Sparkkling Thoughts

Invisibly Me

Weeping Pines

Delusions Of Parenthood

A Life Less Ordinary With Saurabhavna

To my nominees, please know that I admire you and your blog. I hope you accept this nomination as look forward to reading your response!
