Reblog Wednesday: 7 Things We Can Learn From Jeff Bezos — Savvy 101 Life

I appreciate a good coming up journey. You know, the one where the person comes from nothing and is determined to make their dream a reality?! Because what’s a dream if not something that can come true – just a dream. It’s that mountain, that obstacle that needs to be moved in order for us to take that first step forward. Often times they refer to it as the push, that leap of faith, but whatever it is, people like Jeff Bezos are an example of the dream made a reality.

The post I share with you today is full of  interesting facts from the man behind Amazon. It is absolutely interesting and nothing short of amazing! And if you haven’t been to Savvy 101 Life, please go by, he’s full of inspirational posts, especially for that entrepreneur in us that’s itching to come out!

We often times have heard, ‘if I can do it, you can do it,’ well it’s true, it really is! I think there also differences between people like Jeff Bezos or Walt Disney or many others and the regular ‘Joe.’ They’ve had one idea that helped them rise in business and have had determination to see it become a reality.

As many many know already, I started my YouTube channel not too long ago. What you may not have known, is that this has been years and years in the ‘thinking.’ Yes! What kept me from taking that step into creating the channel, well your guess is better than mine! But, fear is up there. It’s up there, along with self-doubt. If you’re thinking of starting your very own YouTube channel, my best advice to you would be, just start! You’ll never be fully ready and you’ll never build enough courage to begin, so just do it, and you’ll soon find your jitters settle. You’ll buy the necessary tools as you go, you’ll get things together and invest as you go as it’ll all happen with time.

I can’t even tell you what I had for lunch today, because my day is a little jammed with the good ‘ole mommy to do’s. But one thing that changed last month was my mind set. I began thinking one day of my ‘Nail File Friday’s’ here on the blog and thought about merging it into a YouTube channel and before I could second guess myself, I put the thought into work! I just started it one night. That one night has turned into 19 videos and counting. And I’m all for ‘hobbies’ and ‘having fun’ while doing something you love, but let me be honest, I have little ones still in diapers! So, while I’m having fun, I’m also thinking long term. My goal is to be able to profit off the channel, not tomorrow, nope – I give it a few years! However, the day will come when good ‘ole nail painting will bring this mama some green. Because saying otherwise would only be deceiving. Here’s to you making your dream a reality – big or small.

The Richest Man In The World “The richest man in the world”, sounds great, right? But there’s more to say about Jeff Bezos than that well-earned nickname. It all started in 1994 with the decision of taking a step further from his already successful life. Jeff had an idea that wouldn’t let him sleep until […]

I often get so many thoughts running through my mind and maybe you can relate. These thoughts of wanting to do something else, something more, maybe learn a new language or perhaps learn a new recipe. As for me I think with the blog and the online store I have, is enough considering there are still little ones to look after. But really, there’s always that one thing, that thing that we think we should be doing, should have done or goal yet to be reached. And all you’ve been doing is waiting, waiting for something, perhaps God to come and give you a sign. Perhaps because you’re not sure, you have self doubt, you’re afraid, afraid of failure or afraid of success, but you’re afraid. So, let’s say, you do it, whatever you’ve been thinking of doing, a job change, going back to school, yes, lets just say you do it. Wouldn’t it be wonderful to finally do what you’ve been thinking about doing for so long?!

This often reminds me of those who have been stuck in a rut for so long. We become content with what we have because it’s become our safe place and it’s what we’ve known for so long. In my opinion, the number one culprit in relationships, is the argument of never having enough money, you complain there isn’t enough, but I often question, what are we doing to change that, what are we doing to get to the finances that we need to finally ‘make ends meet.’ In all honesty, probably nothing. So, if you’re a mother, a father or simply someone that’s looking to take that leap – take it! It’ll take you farther than you know.
